LCI Appoints Martin Lee as Civil Engineering Lead

LCI has appointed Martin Lee as Principal & Civil Engineering Lead, strengthening our Civil Engineering capability and expanding our integrated engineering offering.

The appointment is an important milestone in LCI’s growth and reflects our continued evolution as part of the Artelia Group. While LCI has built a strong reputation delivering the engineering services that sit within buildings, the addition of Civil Engineering extends that expertise beyond the building envelope and into the surrounding site and supporting infrastructure. This expanded capability strengthens our ability to provide more integrated solutions and aligns LCI more closely with the breadth of services Artelia delivers globally across buildings, water, energy, industry and mobility.

Great projects are shaped by more than the building itself. The land it sits on, the infrastructure that supports it and the connections that enable it to function are all critical to successful outcomes. Civil Engineering influences some of the most important decisions made early in a project’s lifecycle, from site levels and stormwater management to access, utilities and regulatory approvals. Traditionally, these services sit outside the broader design team, creating additional interfaces and coordination challenges for clients. By bringing Civil Engineering into our multidisciplinary business, we close that gap. This allows our civil, structural and building services engineers to collaborate from the outset. The result is better coordination, fewer interfaces, faster decision-making and more efficient project delivery.

It also reflects where our clients are heading. The sectors we support, from commercial developments and urban renewal to data centres, aviation and infrastructure, increasingly involve complex greenfield and brownfield sites where civil engineering plays a critical role.

About Martin Lee

Martin Lee is a Chartered Professional Engineer with almost 15 years’ experience helping shape complex developments and infrastructure projects across Australia and the United Kingdom. Combining technical expertise with a collaborative leadership approach, he has delivered projects across the aviation, data centre, commercial, infrastructure and urban development sectors, guiding multidisciplinary teams from concept through to construction.

His project experience includes some of Australia’s most recognised developments, including the Western Sydney Aerotropolis including Bradfield Masterplan, Sydney Airport Gateway, Macquarie Park Data Centre, Google REVY HQ and The Ribbon IMAX Sydney. Martin’s appointment reflects LCI’s commitment to expanding its multidisciplinary capability and delivering increasingly integrated solutions for clients.
