LCI Appoints New National Structural Lead

LCI is pleased to announce the appointment of Will Messervy as our National Structural Lead, a move that reflects both the growth of our structural team and LCI’s commitment to expanding our specialist services nationally.

Will steps into this role following his tenure as NSW Structural Lead, where he led the development of LCI’s expanding structural capability and supported key commercial, health, workplace, government and transport projects across the state. With more than 15 years of industry experience, Will brings extensive technical expertise across reinforced concrete, steel, composite and timber structures, as well as advanced specialisations in earthquake engineering and tall-building lateral systems.

A Leader with Major Project Experience

Prior to joining LCI, Will contributed to the design and delivery of several high-profile, city-shaping projects, including:

  • 2 Melbourne Quarter
  • 110 Walker Street (North Sydney)
  • Metro Martin Place
  • Sydney Fish Market redevelopment
  • Hunter Street Metro OSD (West)

His work spans high-rise commercial towers, mixed-use precincts, health infrastructure, hospitality, residential developments and major transport assets across Australia. This broad sector experience positions Will to guide LCI’s national structural strategy with an informed, future-focused perspective.

Commenting on his new role, Will noted:

“I’m excited to lead LCI’s Structural team at a time when the demand for smart, resilient, and future-focused engineering is rapidly growing. Our commitment to technical excellence and collaborative delivery is strengthening LCI’s reputation nationally, and I’m looking forward to helping elevate our structural capability across all sectors and regions.”

Strengthening LCI’s Multi-Disciplinary Model

Structural engineering is a core component of LCI’s long-term growth strategy. Will’s appointment accelerates the evolution of structural as a specialist offering, aligning with our broader integrated design approach that brings together mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, ESD, digital engineering, and now an expanded structural capability.

Working closely with leaders across all LCI offices, Will is responsible for:

  • Leading national structural strategy and team development
  • Strengthening LCI’s delivery on complex and large-scale projects
  • Expanding structural capability into new markets
  • Supporting cross-discipline integration across all project phases
  • Mentoring emerging structural engineers across the business

A Strategic Step Forward for LCI

As part of the Artelia Group, LCI is accelerating investment in technical depth, digital capability and specialist services. Will’s national appointment reflects our confidence in the structural discipline’s future and our commitment to delivering comprehensive, integrated engineering solutions to clients across Australia.

We congratulate Will on this well-deserved appointment and look forward to the growth and leadership he will bring to LCI’s structural capability nationwide.
