Wound Innovations is Australia’s premier facility solely dedicated to improving wound outcomes for all Australians through expert wound treatments, telehealth, education and translational research. It was established by the Wound Management Innovation Cooperative Research Centre (WMI CRC).

In Australia wounds are estimated to affect more than 433,000 people and cost the healthcare system more than $2.85 billion per year.


The Wound Innovation Centre is a progressive new service that is the first of its kind in Australia. This centre focuses on committing their time to patients with injuries in wounds. LCI were bought in to design the new building to accommodate for patient treatment rooms, training for healthcare professionals, telehealth clinical appointments and also translation research.


The centre consists of advance facilities for onsite clinical treatment as well as dedicated telehealth infrastructure. The Wound Innovation Centre can also provide training in wounds in state of the art research facilities.
