Challenge: 

The Parramatta Square Public Domain Precinct comprises of Leigh Place - the public space between 3PS and 5PS, the public space bounded by buildings 3PS, 5PS, 4PS, 6PS and 8PS, and parts of Church Street Mall. Parramatta Square Precinct will act as the meeting point and hub for the City. The Precinct is expected to accommodate 23,000 workers and 10,000 university students.

Solution: 

The public domain will be an interactive public space which will include extensive water features, public seating, provisions for public entertainment, facilities for market stalls, a digital strip and public WIFI. The public domain will be targeting a Green Star Communities Rating. A station link between 4 Parramatta Square and 2 Parramatta Square and a light rail link adjacent to 3 Parramatta Sqaure will provide for a seamless connection between the transport hubs, the square and the buildings.

Outcome:
