Harbourside starts construction

Mirvac has taken its first steps towards reshaping Sydney’s urban landscape with the visionary Harbourside mixed-use precinct.

Designed by Snohetta and Hassell, Harbourside will take shape as a representation of the land’s contours, reminiscent of Sydney Harbour’s coastline, while paying homage to its roots, reviving the name Tumbalong – the original identity of Darling Harbour.

Harbourside Precinct will encompass a vibrant blend of shops, dining establishments, innovative workspaces, and a spectacular 42-storey tower featuring luxury apartments.

A Beacon of Transformation and a Glimpse into tomorrow

The symbolic groundbreaking ceremony took place July 27th, 2023, and signalled the initiation of a remarkable journey, projected to reach completion from 2026. This journey represents not only a physical transformation for Darling Harbour but a journey of collective aspiration towards a reimagined urban lifestyle.

LCI is working to achieve several sustainability benchmarks for Mirvac: a 5.5 NABERS energy rating, 6 Star Green Star Building rating and a Gold WELL rating for the workplace section; additionally, for the Retail and Residential components we are targeting 5 Star Green Star Building rating.
