In the last Board announcement, we revealed the strategy to create opportunities for next-generation directors as part of our ongoing expansion and succession planning. We also recognise the value of “new thinking” and the benefits of a cross-generational workforce.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that Tim Baxter, Ray Garrata, and Jack McGuire have been appointed as the newest Directors of LCI Consultants.

For the past years, Tim, Ray, and Jack have demonstrated their relevance and trust in LCI. We truly believe in their ability to bring a different approach and perspective to the existing directorial team and create new opportunities for innovation and growth for the business. The nominations were two years in the making and thorough due diligence was completed during the interview process.

In the following months, the Board will prepare our new Directors for success through a combination of comprehensive onboarding, thoughtful integration, and an open-minded, receptive, and respectful attitude toward their contributions.

TIM BAXTER

Tim is a Chartered Professional Engineer, Fellow of Engineers Australia, and APEC International Professional Engineer. With over 18 years of professional experience, he has undertaken the multi-disciplinary lead role in many large healthcare and education facility developments.

Tim took on the National Quality Manager position in 2016 and has since led numerous system implementations across LCI offices. He oversaw the ISO 9001:2015 certification process, Deltek/PIM adoption, and recently our Intranet development.

“Throughout my 13 years at LCI, what I enjoyed the most is working in a collaborative and supportive environment while delivering challenging yet rewarding projects. I genuinely believe LCI has a strong business strategy/plan, and I am looking forward to working with the Board and leadership team to maximise our ability to deliver further growth and shareholder value.

I will also continue to fulfil my role as a Quality Manager to ensure LCI consistently provide services that meet client and regulatory requirements.”

RAY GARRATA

Ray has been an invaluable member of the LCI family since 2000. He has over 22 years of industry experience and was involved in many large, complex projects at LCI, including Ballarat Hospital Stage 2 and 3 (current), AirTrunk Data Centres (Stage 2, 3, 4a, 4b, 5, 5b), Epworth Geelong Hospital, and Austin Hospital HV.

Ray became a National OHS/WHS representative at LCI in 2013 and played an instrumental role in transitioning our OHS/WHS system from ISO 18001 to ISO 45001:2018. The system provides a robust framework for OHS management, ensures a safe and healthy workplace, and protects the physical and mental health of our staff.

“Every project I delivered, every challenge I overcame, and every win I received in the past 12 years at LCI shaped who I am today. I am excited and optimistic for this next chapter of my career and ready to grow with the legacy that was established by the 10 Directors.”

JACK MCGUIRE

Jack joined LCI as a Building Services Engineer in 2011, as we were embarking on the delivery of the $2.1 billion New Royal Adelaide Hospital. He led the BIM implementation process within the project team and established REVIT standards that have been since used as a cornerstone for large-scale projects, such as the University of Melbourne Arts West Building and Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC).

In recent years, Jack has been leading the National Business Development Committee with the mission to strengthen our business model, improve profitability and elevate performance.

“Having been on the LCI journey since the start-up stage of the company, I feel extremely privileged for the opportunity to evolve with the team and business strategy while delivering some of the largest hospital projects in Australia.

As a Director, I look forward to further assisting LCI on a strategic level as well as pushing the company forward in technical development and growth. Additionally, I want to impart the importance of living LCI’s core values and hope to guide younger generations in realising their own unique path.”
