We worked closely with Hames Sharley & the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale to refurbish the Byford Hall into a public library. The conversion was done so in order to relocate the library services, facilitating additional administration infrastructure in Mundijong.

The Byford Library will focus on learning and social opportunities, with quiet spaces for study and information seeking, places to collaborate and multifunction spaces for events and programs.

One of the challenges we faced was providing a flexible solution which could be adapted to suit future changes. To overcome this, we utilised a modular approach to the lighting designs so that it had flexible power provision and track lighting.

LCI Consultants provided mechanical, electrical, security, hydraulic and fire engineering services to the Byford Hall Refurbishment project.
