Townsville University Hospital, South Block Level 1 Fitout

The new Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) at Townsville University Hospital features 11 beds as single rooms and 22 beds in shared rooms. The AAU is designed to enhance the transfer process of severely ill patients from the emergency department to specialised inpatient wards and to increase the availability of appropriate care environments for patients based on clinical needs.

The service’s inpatient bed capacity and capability will enable the facility to absorb additional consumer pressures over the mid-term life cycle.

LCI provided all Building Services and ESD services for the ward fitout on Level 1 of the existing South Block Building.
